STS visits Fuquay-Varina

On Sunday, November 8th, STS had the privilege of visiting Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church. Our Director of Baseball Operations, Reid Fronk, went on Sunday morning and spoke with the Elementary Sunday School classes about his experience as a follower of Christ on the UNC baseball team, and even now as he plays pro baseball. He had a great time hanging out with them and getting to know Cam McLean, the Children's Pastor.

Cam also invited the STS staff to come to their Fall Festival that night and set up a table for people to learn more about Sports That Serve. We were able to hand out flyers, talk with people interested in sports ministry, and Reid signed autographs & took pictures with adoring fans (see picture above :) ). The Fall Festival was huge--we've never seen so many inflatables in one place and it seemed like the whole town came out for the night! Overall, it was a wonderful opportunity to meet some new people who love the Lord and share with them about our ministry. Many thanks to Cam and the rest of the crew at Fuquay-Varina Baptist Church!

If you have any questions about our baseball camp coming up this February in Charlotte, please contact our Director of Baseball Operations, Reid Fronk, at reidfronk@sportsthatserve.org. Thanks!
